(USD to Bitcoin) How to send Bitcoin, How to receive Bitcoin
We will show you how to send Bitcoin from Coinbase to Exodus but the process is the same for Ethereum and Litecoin, just make sure you are sending/receiving to the correct addresses. You cannot send Bitcoin to an Ethereum address, and vice versa.
Sign in to your Coinbase account and click on the ‘Accounts‘ tab in the main navigation.
Click on ‘Send‘ button under the currency you wish to transfer. We are sending Bitcoin, but the process is the same for any cryptocurrency coin.
The next screen is the ‘Send’ screen showing the transaction details that you will fill out.
In this case, we are going to send your coins to Exodus, so you need to input your Exodus Bitcoin wallet address. To locate the address, open the Exodus app on your computer, login, and click ‘Wallet’ on the left side and click ‘Bitcoin.’
You will notice two buttons in your Exodus Bitcoin wallet, —’Send’ and ‘Receive.’ Click on the ‘Receive‘ button and you will see a pop-up showing your Bitcoin address, along with a QR code for that address.
Click on the Copy icon, which is the first icon under the address. This will copy the address to your clipboard.
Go back to your Coinbase account in your browser. Select the Recipient field in the Send box and paste the address that you copied from Exodus.
Next, enter the amount you wish to transfer. If you want to transfer the entire balance, click in either box—USD or BTC—and then click the ‘Send Max’ button that appears. Otherwise you can enter an exact amount in either USD or BTC.
Click ‘Continue’ to complete the transaction.
This will take you the confirmation screen, and you can make sure the details are correct before continuing the transaction.
